Veteran Portuguese winger Luis Figo is hoping to end his career on a high note by playing for one more season with Internazionale.
The 35-year-old has endured an injury-hit campaign this time around and wants the chance to ensure that his illustrious career ends on the right note.
He told the club's official website: "I don't know what my future will be yet, but I don't want to end it on the treatment table.
"I would like to continue for another year. Considering I owe six months of football to Inter, I hope to carry on here.
"I was welcomed with open arms in Milan and am happy that we have been able to give the fans such joy they have been waiting for over many years."
Figo joined Inter in the summer of 2005 from Real Madrid, having also played for Barcelona and Sporting Lisbon, while he also won well over 100 caps for his country.
