Fears eased over Maicon injury

Brazil full-back Maicon has not suffered a tear in his knee easing fears that he could be facing a long spell on the sidelines.
The Inter Milan right back limped out of Wednesday night's 1-0 Champions League defeat at Marseille but the club confirmed on Thursday that his injury is not as bad as first thought.
He has merely suffered an elongation of a tendon in his knee rather than a tear.
Some Italian press speculate he will be out for just two to three weeks.
