Internazionale defender Ivan Cordoba is delighted to have finally returned to action after a long-term knee injury.
The 32-year-old Colombia international played and scored in a 2-2 friendly draw with Swiss club FC Luzern on Friday evening, having been sidelined since February by cruciate ligament damage in his left knee.
Afterwards, he told the club's official website: "I am sorry that Luzern managed to score two goals.
"The important thing was to get back on the field and I achieved that. I am in good shape and the knee is reacting well.
"I played with grit and even put in some tough tackles. I did not think about all those months I spent out of action.
"I was eager to show myself well to the new coach (Jose Mourinho). It is never easy to come back from a serious injury."
