Burdisso maintains Roma wish

Internazionale's Argentina defender Nicolas Burdisso remains determined to join Roma this summer, despite late interest from Juventus.

The 29-year-old centre-back impressed while on loan with Roma last season, but a permanent deal with Inter is proving elusive at the moment, prompting Juve to make a move.

However, Burdisso's agent Fernando Hidalgo told Il Messaggero: "Nico wants to stay in Rome and I know that the Giallorossi are trying to convince Inter with a great effort.

"We understand that the financial sacrifice would be enormous, but it's also true that Roma have shown that they want Burdisso.

"The player has also made his choice, which is Roma. I hope that Inter understand the situation."
