Balotelli rant infuriates team-mates

Internazionale striker Mario Balotelli has been criticised by his team-mates for storming off the pitch and throwing his shirt on the ground at the end of their Champions League semi-final first leg win over Barcelona on Tuesday night.

The youngster was brought off the bench by coach Jose Mourinho with 15 minutes remaining during the 3-1 success and the San Siro faithful offered a less than supportive welcome as he made his way on to the pitch.

It is another blot on his copybook after he outraged the club's fans and officials for wearing the shirt of fierce and city rivals AC Milan earlier this season.

Speaking to reporters, Dejan Stankovic said: "He's like a child. I'm a father of three kids and we can't take him by the collar, too.

"He's suffered, but I've suffered too with the fans. He's reacted poorly, but he's still got time."

Veteran skipper Javier Zanetti was also disappointed in his actions and he said: "I am disappointed that a celebration was ruined with something like this.

"If the fans whistle at him he's got to understand that it could depend on a lot of different things. We've always stood by him."
