Whilst Ronaldo has become somewhat eclipsed in the press and internet since his retirement by a certain Cristiano, the later has some way to go to overcome the lasting records of his namesake. Ronaldo was a freightening proposition for any defender, being big, powerful, fast but also having a box of tricks that enabled him to humble even world-class defences.
