Argentinian Diego Milito is undergoing scans Thursday to determine the extent of a suspected groin injury suffered during training.

Milito, who only returned to action for the Serie A giants last month following a seven-month lay-off, limped off a training session on Wednesday evening.

It is feared the 34-year-old striker could be sidelined again for the Nerazzurri, who currently sit fourth in the table seven points behind leaders Roma.

Milito was one of several Inter players hit by injury last season, when the side, then coached by Andrea Stramaccioni, finished a disappointing ninth in the table.

The Argentinian spent seven months recovering from a horrific left knee injury and returned to the fray last month when he came off the bench to score a brace in a 7-0 away rout at league new boys Sassuolo.
