Inter for treble? No chance, says coach Ranieri

Inter Milan coach Claudio Ranieri warned his club's demanding supporters on Friday that they can forget any dreams of a 2010 trophy treble repeat this season because the team doesn't exist anymore.

Inter are marooned in 15th place in Serie A and suffered a 2-1 defeat to CSKA Moscow in the Champions League in midweek which, fortunately for Ranieri, came after his side had made sure of their last 16 place.

"Everyone remembers the Inter which won everything in 2010," said Ranieri, in reference to Jose Mourinho's team which won the Serie A title, Italian Cup and Champions League.

"But that team does not exist any more. (Samuel) Eto'o is no longer here, (Diego) Milito used to score every time he touched the ball, but now struggles. Everything went well back then.

"Now the players are up against it and the mistakes are affecting their confidence."
