Dunga reveals concern for Adriano

Brazil coach Dunga has voiced his concern about Adriano as the player's unauthorised absence from Inter Milan continues. The striker did not return to Italy after international duty and his whereabouts remained a mystery until Sunday, when his agent Gilmar Rinaldi confirmed the player was in Rio de Janeiro and would be back "next week". The Selecao boss told borgesluciano.blog.terra.com.br: "Obviously we're worried. This is a human matter. We spend a lot of time together with the national team and I like him. "Obviously we like his football, but we must think about the human side of things. The more people improve in life, the better they feel and the better for all of us." Dunga, who has taken a personal interest in the Brazilian Football Confederation's handling of the matter, denied Adriano was being given special treatment. The former Brazil captain likened the situation to other players who had suffered bad injuries, poor form or had experienced tough personal circumstances. "What we are doing for Adriano is not in isolation," he said. "We've done the same with other players and we'd do that with all of them. "We care that they get back and are in good form. It's happened to Kaka, Ronaldinho, Robinho and others." Dunga refused to say whether the lack of first-team action will affect Adriano's participation in further World Cup qualifiers, adding: "Right now, I'm calm. I hope he returns and the problem is sorted out. "(Inter coach Jose) Mourinho trusts in Adriano and so does the Inter president (Massimo Moratti). "Adriano's behaviour has been exemplary with me. I cannot complain about anything. He's a real workhorse in training. He wants to serve the national team."
