Zam's the man for Hull City as Fulham agree to offload 5m striker Bobby

Bobby Zamora is on the brink of joining Hull after Fulham accepted their £5million offer. The former West Ham striker will soon start talks with the Tigers ahead of a switch to the KC Stadium. Zamora has been told he is free to leave Craven Cottage after just a single season with Fulham. Boss Roy Hodgson will use the cash to rebuild his squad, with Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch top of his list. A club statement read: 'Fulham Football Club can confirm that it hasagreed a fee of £5million for the sale of Bobby Zamora to Hull City.' Zamora, 28, emerged as a Tigers target after they were beaten to the signings of Marc-Antoine Fortune and Fraizer Campbell by Celtic and Sunderland respectively. Hull, who are also closing in on a deal for Sunderland's Daryl Murphy, will have to be patient on any deal with Zamora currently on the Cottagers' pre-season tour of Australia. Zamora scored just two goals last season after his £4.8m move from West Ham but his partnership with Andy Johnson was still largely deemed a success. The former England Under-21 international made his name during a prolific spell with Brighton but he then failed to establish himself after a high-profile move to Tottenham. He joined West Ham in 2004 and scored 30 goals for the Upton Park club.
