U's rule out Brown exit

Colchester United insist Wayne Brown will not be sold to Hull City even though the Tigers have expressed an interest in securing the services of the 29-year-old defender.
There is bad blood between the two clubs after Phil Parkinson's defection from Layer Road to Hull last summer, but U's chairman Robbie Cowling is adamant that Brown will not be following in the former manager's footsteps
He told the club's official website: "Earlier this month, Hull City had certainly given an indication that they wanted to make an offer for Wayne Brown's services.
"It was made quite clear to them that, as far as the board of directors are concerned, a move would only ever be considered if it was right for Colchester United, and we do not believe that to be the case in this instance.
"At this moment in time, there have been no further offers made to Colchester United since that initial enquiry.
"With that in mind, Wayne reported to the club along with the other members of the squad as normal for pre-season training and will continue to prepare alongside them in readiness for the start of the new season."
