Tigers wait on Coles verdict

Hull City manager Peter Taylor is awaiting the result of Danny Coles' exploratory knee surgery amid fears he faces a lengthy lay-off.

The defender lasted just nine minutes of Saturday's 1-0 defeat against Luton Town before being stretchered off and Taylor is not optimistic about his injury.

He told the club's official website: "Danny is having a camera put into his knee so that we can find out what the full extent of the damage is.

"Until that happens we can't really say a lot more about the situation."
