Hull City have broken their transfer record to sign striker Caleb Folan from Wigan Athletic for an initial fee of £1million.
Folan, 24, has signed a three-year deal with the Tigers after spending just six months at the Premier League club.
The former Leeds United striker joined Wigan in January 2006 in a £500,000 deal from Chesterfield.
Folan made 16 appearances for the Latics last season, scoring two goals.
"We're delighted to have signed Caleb Folan and believe that he's a quality player who will bring various attributes that we haven't already got to the squad," Hull boss Phil Brown told the club's official website.
"I'm sure the fans are also very excited at the prospect of seeing him play at the KC Stadium."
