Tigers seal Brown deal

Hull City boss Phil Brown has snapped up the Colchester United defender Wayne Brown in a £450,000 deal.

Brown has penned a three-year contract with the Tigers and is pleased the transfer has finally gone through.

He told City's official website: "The last two-and-a-half weeks have been a frustrating time for myself.

"Obviously I wanted to get here at the earliest opportunity and I was hoping the deal would be sorted before the lads went away to Italy.

"But we had to be patient. Obviously I'm delighted the move has finally come about and I can't wait to get started at training on Monday."
