Tigers pounce for Doyle
01 Feb 2007 - 11:10:28
Hull City have signed Derby County midfielder Nathan Doyle for a nominal fee on a contract running until the summer of 2009.
The 20-year-old had worked with Tigers manager Phil Brown while both men were with the Rams and the City boss is confident that Doyle will prove his worth.
Brown told the club's official website: "He's a very intelligent, aggressive and combative midfield player.
"Having worked with him, I like his attitude towards hard work, tackling and his commitment towards the defensive side of the game, but he can also play a bit as well.
"Signing Nathan is a long-term investment to enhance the current stock of the squad in this season's survival campaign, but he is also one for the future."
