    Tigers ponder Pennant move

    02 Jan 2009 - 07:11:19

Hull City boss Phil Brown has confirmed that his club are one of a number showing an interest in Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant.

The 25-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield, sparking talk of a possible January transfer, with Spurs, Stoke City and Wigan Athletic all rumoured to be in the hunt.

Now Brown has admitted that the Tigers have also expressed an interest in the former Birmingham City and Arsenal wideman.

He said; "I would be very interested in Jermaine Pennant if he was available at the right price. We will be making enquiries.

"We have got a number of irons in the fire, but just because the transfer window opens doesn't mean to say everyone jumps into business straight away.

"A lot of these windows start with the big boys and once they start to do their dealings everyone else follows suit.

"We have got certain targets earmarked."
