Hull City are reportedly set to complete the signing of Peterborough United goalkeeper Mark Tyler.
The 30-year-old has made more than 400 appearances during 13 years with the London Road club.
However, following the recent arrival of record signing Joe Lewis, Tyler looks set to leave the League Two club on an initial loan basis.
Meanwhile, Tigers striker Dean Windass is happy the club remain dark horses to win promotion this season.
"I'm happy for us not to be seen as one of the front-runners and I'd be happy to sneak through the back door," said the veteran frontman.
"There's no real pressure on us to finish in the top six and that's the way we like it.
"Nothing will get decided at this stage of the season but we're coming along nicely."
