Tigers deny Bullard pay-off

Hull City have dismissed reports suggesting that they are set to agree a pay-off to allow record signing Jimmy Bullard to leave the club.

The 31-year-old is already available on a season-long loan, with the Tigers needing to make major budget cuts following their relegation from the Premier League.

However, head of football operations Adam Pearson told the Hull Daily Mail: "I don't know where that story has come from as we are not in the habit of paying players off.

"We are where we are with Jimmy. He has a contract and we have no intention of paying people off.

"Jimmy is available for transfer or on a season-long loan and we have had some interest but nothing further."

Bullard joined the Tigers from Fulham in January and scored five goals in 15 appearances as City failed to avoid relegation.
