Tigers confirm Fortune interest

Hull City boss Phil Brown has revealed that he is hoping to clinch the signing of Marc-Antoine Fortune, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom.

Wolves and Celtic also want to sign the 27-year-old Nancy striker who scored five goals in 18 appearances during his spell at The Hawthorns.

"Marc-Antoine Fortune is a player we're interested in," Brown confirmed to the Hull Daily Mail.

"We've discussed terms with his club and I'd say we're probably one of three serious contenders.

"We've done our business with his club and we remain hopeful. He caught the eye and captured everyone's imagination in the second half of last season."

The Tigers are also keen to complete the signing of Fraizer Campbell after agreeing a £6million fee with Manchester United for the striker's services.
