Tigers complete Coles coup

Hull City have completed the signing of Bristol City centre-back Danny Coles for £200,000 on a two-year contract, with an option for a further 12 months.

The 23-year-old Robins stopper had decided to leave the Robins after the club missed out on the League One play-offs last season and is looking forward to the challenge ahead at the KC Stadium.

Coles told the Stellar Group website: "I am thrilled to bits. I was distraught when we missed out on the play-offs last season and wish Bristol City all the best for this season.

"But to have the chance to test myself in the Championship and play for a manager like Peter Taylor was too good an opportunity to turn down.

"Hull are a very ambitious club and when I spoke to the manager and staff here it was made clear that they are going all out for promotion to the Premiership.

"That is something that really excites me."
