Hull City boss Phil Brown has revealed his interest in signing former Derby County midfielder Seth Johnson.
The former England international was released by the Rams following their promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs.
Brown is keen to sign the former Leeds United midfielder should he prove his fitness following minor surgery on a long-term knee problem.
"There's some truth in the fact we've been monitoring Seth closely for a while now, but there's no truth we've offered him a two-year deal," he told the Hull Daily Mail.
"I understand he's undergoing a minor operation and we will await the results of that before taking it any further.
"Hopefully, if the injury is not as serious as some people have suggested, then we can sit down with the player."
