Hull City boss Phil Brown remains confident that he will win the race to sign Leeds United striker Richard Cresswell.
Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City are both being linked with the former England Under-21 international who seems certain to leave Elland Road this summer.
Brown told the Hull Daily Mail: "The fact that Richard is born and bred in Bridlington and lives in York might help us.
"With that in mind, we might have an advantage over our rivals.
"We've been talking to this lad for a number of days now but nothing had got out."
