Robert Koren is an energetic, committed midfielder who joined Hull City shortly after the start of the 2010-11 season, making his debut as a substitute at Millwall in August. He quickly established himself in the line-up, producing a series of consistent performances. Robert had previously played for West Bromwich Albion, where he had been an influential member of the team since signing in the January 2007 transfer window. He made over 100 appearances for the Baggies, scoring 22 competitive goals. Robert began his senior career in Slovenia where he turned out for NK Dravograd and NK Publikum Celje before moving to Norwegian club Lillestrom. He is predominantly seen in central midfield but has also featured out wide on occasions. Robert is currently the captain of Slovenia?s national team and won his 50th cap against Australia in August 2010.
