Parkinson slams Jaidi

Hull City boss Phil Parkinson hit out at Birmingham City defender Radhi Jaidi after Tigers striker Jon Parkin was sent off in the 2-1 defeat at St Andrew's.

Parkin was dismissed in the final minute of the game, having only come on with 12 minutes to play as the Tigers chased the match.

Parkinson said afterwards: "I thought the sending-off was very harsh.

"The reaction of players to innocuous challenges like that sometimes influence the referee's decision.

"Did he make a meal of it? I felt it was just a routine challenge, the kind you get 50 times in a game."

Parkinson also warned that his side need to improve quickly, having only picked up one point from six games this season.

He added: "I think a draw overall would have been a fair result, but the two goals we conceded were not good enough from our point of view.

"You can't keep coming off the pitch saying we were unlucky."
