    Parkin blow rocks Tigers

    14 Nov 2006 - 10:35:00

Hull City striker Jon Parkin could be sidelined until February after sustaining ankle ligament damage in Saturday's victory against Wolves.

The former Barnsley, York City and Macclesfield Town player will have keyhole surgery next week to assess the extent of the damage.

"It's a blow, but it's one that we'll overcome," Tigers boss Phil Parkinson told the club's official website.

"We've got plenty of players who are itching to get out on to the pitch and this will give somebody else a chance."

The 24-year-old has scored 11 goals in 37 appearances for City since moving to the KC Stadium from Macclesfield in January.
