McShane issues Tigers warning

Hull defender Paul McShane has said his team must bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Sunderland. The Tigers went down 4-1 at the Stadium of Light on Saturday, despite going in 1-1 at half time, and Phil Brown's side slip to 17th in the Premier League. But McShane, who captained Hull against his old club following the departure of Michael Turner to Sunderland, said now is not the time to dwell on the defeat, but to concentrate on their next game. "The second half was poor and we had the discussion after the game to say that we have to be stronger than that," he told the Hull Daily Mail. "The lads will learn from the experience and we'll move on. There might be days like that but the key is how you bounce back and making sure we don't dwell on things. "We can't afford to start losing games and seeing our confidence drop, we have to get it right for next Saturday." Hull host Birmingham City this weekend at the KC Stadium, knowing that a win is required to right the wrongs of the Black Cats reverse.
