McCormack welcomes Hull link
04 Aug 2009 - 10:29:39
Cardiff City striker Ross McCormack has intimated that he would welcome the opportunity to move to Hull City.
However, the 22-year-old fears that the Championship side's decision to place a £5million price-tag on his head, could have put the Tigers off.
McCormack told the Hull Daily Mail: "I'd definitely be interested, Hull are in the Premier League.
"When you're a young boy all you want to do is play in the Premier League, so if a club wants to give you that chance then it would be hard to turn down.
"I've not handed in a transfer request. I said to the chairman that if a Premier League club came in I'd like to go, and both the manager and the chairman said if a bid is made they won't stand in my way.
"I'd probably say £5million is an over-valuation for someone who's had one season in England and done well. I joined for about £100,000, so it's a lot of money.
"I think it's pricing people out of the market, but if a club wants someone enough, they'll pay it."
