Koren worry for Tigers
Hull are expected to be without injured midfielder Robert Koren against Bristol City at the KC Stadium on Friday night.
The Slovenia international was forced out of Tuesday night's defeat at Wolves with a calf injury and is a major doubt.
Striker Jay Simpson replaced Koren in midweek, but midfielder Tom Cairney provides manager Steve Bruce with an alternative option.
Midfielder Corry Evans sits out the second of his two-match ban after reaching 10 yellow cards.
But the Tigers were boosted by the surprise return to the substitutes' bench of defender Paul McShane at Molineux and he hopes to feature.
The Irishman had been expected to be out for the rest of the season when damaging ankle ligaments last month.
Matty Fryatt is hoping to play an extended role. The striker returned to the bench at Ipswich last weekend following a season-long Achilles injury and made his second league appearance of the season on Tuesday.
Hull can seal automatic promotion with victory if Watford fail to beat Blackburn on Saturday.
Bristol City could be boosted by the return of influential midfielder Marvin Elliott.
The Jamaican missed the 1-0 defeat to Birmingham, a result which relegated the Robins to League One, with a back injury but he could return to the heart of Sean O'Driscoll's line-up.
But centre-back Liam Fontaine and midfielder Stephen Pearson are both doubtful for the trip with ankle injuries.
Striker Ryan Taylor is still feeling a little discomfort with his collarbone and the former Rotherham man is extremely doubtful.
Jon Stead and captain Cole Skuse are still sidelined but youngster Wes Burns could make his second appearance of the week after being recalled from his loan spell with Forest Green.
Ironically victory for the Robins over Steve Bruce's men would crown their rivals Cardiff as the champions of the division without a ball being kicked by the south Wales side.
