Hull likely to be without leading scorer Sone Aluko for up to three weeks

Hull are likely to be without leading scorer Sone Aluko for up to three weeks with an achilles problem.

Aluko, who has missed the last two matches, is set for an extended spell on the sidelines heading into the festive fixtures. The Tigers have moved to resolve the problem with the help of an injection to clear up what has been a troublesome injury for the former Rangers striker.

"Sone trained on Thursday and unfortunately was sore on Friday," manager Steve Bruce told the club's official website.

"He had an injection on Friday and we're hoping that now he's got five or six days off doing absolutely nothing, in two to three weeks it will have done the trick and we'll see Sone back again. "The worry is that it's the tendon, but the scan has revealed that there is no real damage. We've put an injection in to try and release it."
