Hull boss Brown ready to splash into the loan pool to bolster ailing squad

Phil Brown appears keen on utilising the loan market in a bid to improverelegation-threatened Hull's Barclays Premier League fortunes. City manager Brown is currently having to accommodate the loss of thetop-flight's current player of the month, Jimmy Bullard, due to a left kneeinjury. Bullard, 31, is not expected back until the end of January while SeyiOlofinjana and Kamel Ghilas will miss several weeks due to the African NationsCup.  Crocked: Jimmy Bullard is out until next year With restrictions set by the club's financial situation, however, funds willnot be readily available to bolster the squad during next month's transferwindow. 'We have looked at the fixtures and it will be a long six weeks, it couldbecome eight weeks,' said Brown, referring to Bullard's absence. 'But the January window opens and there may be an opportunity to bring one ortwo loans in to strengthen the squad. I will be talking long and hard with the chairman and the owner with regardthe January transfer window.'
