Green relishes Tigers move

Hull City new boy Stuart Green is delighted to have finally signed up with the Tigers and is not concerned at dropping down from Premiership Newcastle United.

The 21-year-old midfielder sealed a permanent move to the Tigers in time to score in their first game at the Kingston Communications Stadium, a 2-0 win over Hartlepool, and also featured in the 1-1 draw at York City.

Green commented on the £150,000 move, telling the club's official website: "I'm delighted and over the past few weeks my intention was always to commit myself to Hull City.

"It was a big decision for me to leave a Premiership club and I was fortunate in that I was given time to think the move over which is what I needed.

"At the end of the day though, I don't want to play reserve-team football anymore and being a Hull City player suits me fine."
