Gardner eyes Tigers impact
23 Feb 2009 - 09:13:16
Hull City defender Anthony Gardner is hoping to use Monday's encounter with former club Tottenham to announce his arrival at the KC Stadium
Gardner, 28, has made just four appearances since joining the Tigers from Spurs last summer in a £2.5million deal after being plagued by a series of injuries.
The former England international was the club's record signing when he joined back in August.
"I'm looking forward to being involved. It's a game I've been looking out for since I came back and it's come up pretty quick," said Gardner.
"I feel strong now and I felt good in the game I played at Sheffield United (last weekend) and I'm hopeful that everything will be rosy from now on.
"I'm working hard to get back strong and hopefully we saw last week the start of what I might be able to do.
"They've hardly seen anything of me here but hopefully they will between now and the end of the season.
"I love playing it, showing the qualities that I possess and when that is taken away from you, you can get frustrated."
