Hull City boss Phil Brown has backed striker Caleb Folan to build on his first goal for the club in the coming months.
The 25-year-old frontman took nine games to break his goalscoring duck for the Tigers, following his £1million arrival from Wigan Athletic, but found the net in the 2-0 weekend win over Leicester City.
Brown told the Hull Daily Mail: "He's had a tough time since he arrived and he's got certain a price-tag attached to his head that brings its own kind of pressure.
"He's handled that very well and he's a very level-headed young man, he's down to earth.
"He's a Yorkshire lad and all he's ever wanted to do is prove to people he's worth his place in the team, worthy of playing in the Championship or higher and that he can score goals."
