Hull City boss Phil Brown is delighted to have tempted Derby County striker Craig Fagan back to the KC Stadium.

The 25-year-old, who moved to the Rams on a permanent basis in January 2007, has agreed a deal that will keep him at City until the end of the season.

"It's a great bit of business from the chairman's point of view and he has to take a lot of credit for that," Brown told the Tigers' official website.

"We'd been hunting high and low for somebody but, with ten games to go, a lot of managers don't want to let anybody go out. Derby are in a different situation because they've already resigned themselves to relegation.

"A new manager has come in there and he's trying to revamp a side that he's inherited.

"I was delighted to be able to get Craig Fagan. He's been here before and I worked well with him during that time. He was in a rich vein of form before he left with something like five goals in six games and I was sorry to see the back of him.

"But his contract was up at the end of that season and we were offered money we couldn't turn down."
