Draw leaves Brown purring
03 Feb 2010 - 08:28:03
Phil Brown believes Hull City have turned the corner following Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Premier League leaders Chelsea.
The Tigers remain in the bottom three despite back-to-back draws with Wolves and the Blues.
Hull took the lead on 30 minutes thanks to a thumping header from defender Steven Mouyokolo, only for Didier Drogba to grab the equaliser with a pin-point free-kick just before half time.
However, Brown believes that recent results have proved his side's Premier League credentials.
"I thought Saturday (2-2 draw with Wolves) was a big point because everyone expected us to win, nobody gave us a chance tonight," he said.
"Consequently, we seem to put our best foot forward against the top sides and yet get nothing from the game.
"But tonight was a little bit of a turning point. We have got something from the game and deserved to get something from the game, if not three."
