Cairney hoping for derby boost

Tom Cairney believes a win for Hull in the Humber derby clash with Scunthorpe at the KC Stadium on Saturday can kick-start the Tigers' season.Hull have tasted victory on only three occasions this season under manager Nigel Pearson and have struggled to adapt to life back in the npower Championship following relegation.Cairney said: "I'm sure the KC Stadium will be packed and the atmosphere will be very good."We need a win at home and hopefully that will come this Saturday. We haven't conceded many goals at home, so we want to keep that going and then hit the back of the net at the other end as well."We saw a spirited performance in the second half (in the 1-1 draw) at Barnsley last weekend and you could tell that everybody was together."We wanted to do it for the fans and there were some promising signs there. Hopefully we can build on that against Scunthorpe on Saturday."
