Bullard shrugs off fan criticism

Hull City's record signing Jimmy Bullard has shrugged off fan criticism of his recent performances.

Bullard, who joined the Tigers in a £5million deal from Fulham in January 2009, has been singled out for flank after failing to recapture the form which saw him named the Premier League's player of the month for November earlier in the season.

However, the 31-year-old midfielder claims he is happy to take the criticism he has received on the chin.

Bullard has come under fire with the Tigers languishing down in 18th place in the table and three points adrift of safety.

"Everyone is entitled to their opinion but sometimes it goes like that, it is hard to win player of the month every month," he told the Hull Daily Mail.

"I am out there to do the best I can and sometimes it is enough and sometimes it isn't.

"One week you are up in the clouds the next week you are down. You make what you can of it but I never get too down about it.

"When the whistle is blown I'm just out there being me, there's no money in my head."
