Bullard set for return

Hull City midfielder Jimmy Bullard is set to return to action after nearly ten months on the sidelines. The 30-year-old midfielder cost City a record £5million in January this year, but he damaged knee ligaments on his debut. Now he is ready to make his playing return for Hull's reserves and if all goes according to plan, he could make his return to first-team duties against former club Fulham later this month. "It would be funny if it turns out to be against Fulham with them being my former club," said the midfielder. "But that's just the way it is. If it's my old club I make my comeback against, then so be it. "For me the most important factor will be that I'm back playing again and not who I'm back playing against. "I'm hoping to get a couple of games under my belt before then. I've got an outing for the reserves planned and it will just be good to go out there, get a bit of fitness back and get used to playing competitive football again. "I've been in the gym for what feels like forever, but playing football is what I've wanted to do all my life and now I finally can, which is great."
