Bullard set for home bow

Jimmy Bullard is poised to make his home debut for Hull - over 10 months after he joined the Tigers in a club-record £5million move. After recovering from a cruciate ligament injury sustained on his initial debut at West Ham in January, Bullard returned to action a fortnight ago as a sub in a 2-0 defeat at former club Fulham. However, Bullard sustained a fresh injury in a reserve game with Wigan soon after, which is understood to have resulted in fluid building around the right knee on which he was operated. That resulted in the 31-year-old undergoing scans as a precaution which have been viewed and given the all clear by surgeon Richard Steadman. It is now expected the combative midfielder will start in Sunday's KC Stadium clash with Stoke, a vital game for the future of manager Phil Brown.
