Bullard eyes autumn return

Jimmy Bullard thinks he will be able to pull on a Hull City shirt again in October.

The former Wigan Athletic midfielder is currently recovering from the cruciate knee ligament injury he suffered in January.

Bullard has made just one substitute appearance for the Tigers since his club record arrival from Fulham in the January transfer window.

The 30-year-old told the Hull Daily Mail: "I don't think I'm going to be a million miles away at the start of October.

"Hopefully, so long as things keep going well it'll be around that date.

"We'll have to wait and see, but I'm looking at October to come back and hit the ground running.

"Hopefully I'll be back stronger than ever and I've got my whole career ahead of me in a Hull City shirt."
