Bullard ahead of schedule

Hull City manager Phil Brown is pleased with Jimmy Bullard's progress from injury.
The former Fulham midfielder suffered a knee injury only 37 minutes into his first appearance for the Tigers in January and has been forced to have an operation on the problem.
Bullard endured a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering another knee injury during his time at Craven Cottage, but Brown is confident that the 30-year-old's recovery is going well this time.
He said: "From what I've seen he's definitely ahead of schedule.
"I wouldn't like to put a timescale on the injury but everything is going well."
Despite Brown's optimism it is still thought unlikely that Bullard will be fit enough to return to action when the new season starts in two months' time.
