Hull City boss Phil Brown will not rush teenager Liam Cooper into his side, despite tipping him for a bright future. The 18-year-old made his full Premier League debut at Anfield in the 6-1 thrashing by Liverpool in September after a promising showing in the Carling Cup against Everton. The defender was thrown in at the deep end when forced to deal with the might of Fernando Torres, who bagged a hat-trick in the Anfield rout, but nonetheless received praise for his showing. Cooper was then left out of the next squad to face Wigan, however, manager Brown holds the youngster in high regard and is reluctant to put too much pressure on one of his brightest prospects. "Liam Cooper will play Premier League football, I guarantee that," said Brown. "The lad has got a future in the game and it is at this level. I have no doubt about that. "But you don't just throw your kids in every week unless they are exceptionally talented or it is above and beyond the call of duty."
