Hull City boss Phil Brown was unhappy with his side's defending in the 5-2 home defeat to Ipswich Town but was quick to praise the contribution of his front three - Dean Windass, Nicky Forster and Stuart Elliott.
"They were okay and Dean Windass is certainly playing his part in this situation. He has scored four in three games," said the Tigers boss.
"The front three caused Ipswich problems and if we can create the same mentality in our penalty box perhaps we can get the win we need against Preston this Saturday.
"But we weren't ruthless enough or strong enough, mentally or physically.
"It's the first time I've seen a little bit of pressure getting to the players. I've got to take the pressure off them.
"However, the front two of Ipswich, Francis Jeffers and Alan Lee, would have caused anyone problems."
