Brown talks up City squad

Hull City boss Phil Brown is confident that his players will recover quickly from the 2-0 weekend defeat at Sheffield United.

The reverse at Bramall Lane dropped the Tigers out of the automatic promotion places with just two games of the season to play, but Brown still has total faith in his squad.

He told the Hull Daily Mail: "We've got two games to go and the main thing that I was disappointed with was the way we didn't perform for the supporters.

"We had some great backing and now we owe them one. Hopefully we can put that right against Crystal Palace next weekend.

"I've said all along that we deserve to be where we are and we'll deserve to be where we finish.

"Before Saturday, I thought we needed to win our last three games so now we have to win our last two.

"I can honestly say it was an uncharacteristic performance. I can count on one hand how many times we've played as poorly as that this season."
