Hull City manager Phil Brown has hailed to work ethic of the Tigers' Brazilian forward Geovanni in recent weeks.
The 29-year-old has scored four times in his last six games, having recently penned a new extended contract at the KC Stadium.
Brown told the Hull Daily Mail: "He didn't even start the first two games, but Geovanni has now scored four goals in six games, he's going better than a goal every other game.
"That's a good return, but it is reward for the work-rate that he's brought to his game in the last year.
"We've had him doing things above and beyond the call of duty and that's what we needed.
"You know that there's a talented footballer, but when you mix that with someone who is prepared to go the extra mile, you've got a great asset."
