Brown keen on Camara deal
10 Aug 2009 - 09:42:43
Hull City manager Phil Brown is hoping to be able to agree a deal to bring Senegal striker Henri Camara to the KC Stadium.
The 32-year-old left Wigan Athletic at the end of last season and impressed in a pre-season friendly against Aberdeen at the weekend.
Brown told the Hull Daily Mail: "I was impressed with certain things that Henri provided.
"He's got something different that we haven't got and if we can sit down and thrash out a deal, then there's a possibility he could be a Hull City player.
"I'm sure we'll do that in the next 48 hours."
Meanwhile, Brown has admitted that he is facing a fight to try and keep Michael Turner at the club, with Liverpool keen on the centre-back.
"I have spoken to Rafa Benitez about Michael, but his assessment and valuation of the boy is well below ours," Brown added.
"I would dearly love to keep Michael here with us, but I know that is going to be difficult.
"When one of the top clubs in Europe come calling, a young man's head can be turned."
