Hull City boss Phil Brown felt his side could have won the first leg of their play-off semi-final at Watford by more than the eventual 2-0 margin.
Goals from veterans Nick Barmby and Dean Windass gave the Tigers a healthy cushion for the return leg at the KC Stadium, but Brown thought his side could have killed the tie off altogether.
He said: "The most disappointing thing was not to get the third and kill it off.
"To be disappointed with a 2-0 is staggering, but we could have won by three or four.
"It's still all to play for in my opinion. I've unfortunately been involved in losing from 2-0 up and 3-0 up in the play-offs as a player, so I'll take nothing for granted.
"We've got another 90 minutes to play for and it's going to be a hell of a game."
