    Brown hails City atmosphere

    20 Oct 2008 - 07:57:06

Manager Phil Brown admitted that his players were dancing with delight after a 1-0 home win over West Ham maintained Hull City's superb start to life in the Premier League.

A Michael Turner header was enough to secure victory at the KC Stadium, with the Tigers moving up to third place in the table behind Chelsea and Liverpool.

Afterwards, Brown admitted: "There are people dancing in the dressing room, so we don't have to do a warm-down any more. It's a good atmosphere at the moment and long may it continue.

"I think we've got to provide a little bit more quality on the ball because we can't survive on set-pieces alone this season.

"But my biggest problem before the game was maintaining the success. People were talking about bubbles bursting, but my simple answer to a bubble bursting is to blow another bubble.

"I thought the first-half performance was one of a two-week break, we looked a bit rusty.

"At times we gave the ball away too cheaply and West Ham caused us problems because of it, but defensively we were bang at it again.

"That's three wins on the bounce and two clean sheets. We have conceded one goal in three games against quality opposition."
