Hull City's new owner Paul Duffen has told recently-installed manager Phil Brown that his future at the club is assured.
Duffen bought out former chairman Adam Pearson in a £10million move this week but insists he was fully behind the recent decision to hand former caretaker-manager Brown the job on a full-time basis.
"I've been hands-on for the last few weeks - albeit in an invisible role - and Adam has involved me in every decision," he told the Hull Daily Mail.
"That included the appointment of Phil as manager. The opportunity is here for him to take the club on to a level it hasn't achieved in more than 100 years of history.
"I believe he is the right man to deliver the success on the pitch and he has my complete support."
