Brown eyes home comforts
Phil Brown has urged his Hull City side to turn the KC Stadium into a fortress as they bid to avoid relegation for a second successive season. The Tigers have collected six of their seven points at home with wins over Bolton and Wigan and Brown is eager to keep that up with forthcoming home fixtures against Portsmouth, Stoke, West Ham and Everton. Their form so far this season is in stark contrast to last year when Brown's men had to rely on their away results, picking up 21 of their total of 35 points on the road, to keep them up. Hull have struggled to replicate that sort of form so far this campaign with one point from a possible 15 on their travels leaving Brown to focus on picking points up at the KC. "Any success we have this season will be based on our home form," he told The Sun. "Last season it was the other way around, but now we need to make the KC our fortress. "We are rebuilding and the sooner we finish that the better."
